Happy almost summer-Painting like a child

My mind wanders. Doesn't yours? So to keep focused, I paint fast. 30 to 40 minutes per piece.
The paintings end up more like studies than finished works, more like exclamations than dissertations. My intent is to make paintings that are loose and fun.
Accuracy is not my goal, but I don't avoid it either. I try to incorporate good design, composition, color theory and "passable" anatomy.
It's a lot to try to pull off in a half an hour. There are times that I think that I've actually lowered the value of the paper
I've painted on. Sometimes though, I get a spontaneous image with artistic potential. Over time I hope I can teach my
brush to say a great deal with very little.

I'm grateful for the watch, but these aren't oils. These are all done with children's tempera paint.
I use these for three main reasons, they dry very quickly, they are inexpensive and are completely 100% opaque.
I plan to move to oils when I more consistently get the results I want from my painting sessions.
